2003 Girls 4x100 Track Relay Team

1st in State, Class 1A

Leslie Keesaer, Megan Livengood, Emily Melies and Shelley Rennison are members of the first state championship team in SSHS history.  The success for this team is attributed to a hard work ethic and excellent coaching despite having no track facilities at which to train.  These four female athletes brought home an amazing total of 46 Conference, 43 District and 30 State medals in all track events during each of their four high school years which does not include any additional medals from various other track events.  In 2003 this relay team set a new I-70 Conference record of 53.04 seconds in the 4x100 going on to attain the first-ever I-70 Conference Girls Track Championship for the Greyhounds.  The team placed 2nd in Districts and were ranked 4th in the state of Missouri after bringing home the gold medal in the girls 4x100 relay in State competition.
