Caleb Dohrman 1999-2003
Caleb Dohrman’s athletic career at SSHS resulted in recognition on the football I-70 All-Conference offensive and defensive teams three times each, All-District list three times (once as a running back and twice as a linebacker) and as an All-State linebacker twice. In 2002, Caleb was named the I-70 Conference MVP, the KMZU Dream Team Defensive MVP, the Missouri Lions Club All-Star Game Defensive MVP, and to the Prepstar Magazine All Region Team as a Linebacker. Caleb finished his Hounds’ football career with 3,001 rushing yards. In 2000, the football Hounds were District Champs and I-70 Conference Champs in 2002. Caleb’s achievements in basketball included being named to the I-70 All-Conference team three times, the KMZU Dream Team three times and the All-District roster once. Caleb’s name still appears in the top five of six different SSHS basketball record categories, including 1506 career points and 960 rebounds. Baseball was Caleb’s third sport in which he excelled as he was named to the I-70 All-Conference team twice. Northwest Missouri State University was Caleb’s next step after SSHS, playing five seasons for the Bearcats football team graduating with a B.A. in Animal Science. While at NWMSU the Bearcats played for the Division II National Championship three times, earning second place each time. Caleb won the Spirit of the Bearcat award as a defensive end and led the team both in sacks and tackles for loss his senior season.
